Conditions shape the route
Different landscapes and environmental conditions change how you prepare. Food, water, temperature and suitable equipment are part of planning a journey that lasts.
The Hollow / Beyond the familiar
Beneath the Surface lies the Hollow, with depths large enough to contain landscapes of their own. Different dangers and corruption make the decision to descend one worth preparing for.

01 / Beneath the Surface
The Hollow includes substantial, physically explorable environments beneath the Surface. Familiar preparations may carry you only so far into a place with different creatures, resources and dangers.
A journey there can be about discovery or bringing back what others need. For a soul, however, the Hollow offers no natural, stable place to exist.
Details are still in development. The full geography, encounters and discoveries are left for players to find.

02 / Read the place, not just the path
What worked on the Surface may need rethinking below it. Pay attention to the world around you.
Different landscapes and environmental conditions change how you prepare. Food, water, temperature and suitable equipment are part of planning a journey that lasts.
New environments bring different inhabitants and useful materials. Observation, gathering and caution all have a place beside combat.
The next discovery is only part of an expedition. Supplies, a dependable route and somewhere to regroup matter when you decide how far to go.
03 / Before you descend
Preparation lets you stay. In a persistent MMORPG, an expedition can be part of a longer life: gathering what you need, setting out with companions and bringing useful knowledge or resources back to the people you share a home with.
There is room for both the explorer who studies a route and the group with a larger undertaking in mind. The important question is what you are prepared to attempt.

Read the terrain, watch the environment and adapt as the journey unfolds.
Think about supplies, companions and the route back before pressing on.
A good expedition includes a plan for returning. Knowing when to turn back is part of protecting the life you have.
04 / Corruption
The Hollow’s danger is not limited to creatures, hunger or hostile terrain. For a soul, it offers no natural, stable place to exist. A soul can enter and endure there, but prolonged exposure can strain the bond between soul and body. If corruption deepens far enough, that bond can break. What remains may still move, but it no longer answers to the soul that entered the Hollow. That influence may also reach towards the Surface.
Your body is one mortal life. The soul that inhabits it is the continuing identity beyond that life. Losing control of a body is not a statement that the soul itself has been erased.
The intended setting makes that distinction matter. The precise rules and deeper explanations remain part of the game’s development and discovery.
